What is web hosting and what does it take to get a reliable web hosting company in Nigeria? I guess web hosting has to do with a service provided by the hosting company in accommodating/hosting your website on a server (computer) in such a way that it may respond to requests by computers or browsers within the world wide web (www). The server stores your web files in a folder and responds to other computers from anywhere across the world. The web hosting company certainly does this for a fee or subscription. Nowadays there are many web hosting services advertised in Nigeria by these providers and to say the truth, some of their services are disappointing. Of course some are very reliable but I'd like to talk about their packages and fees as well as their reliability and relevance in the face of global competition. What do they really have to offer to the Nigerian society that would convert Nigerian residents who only look for this service abroad (e.g. in the U.S.A.)?
