A lot has been said about the 2007 Presidential elections coming up in Nigeria. The ruling PDP seems to be dividing and you wonder, after President Obasanjo, who is most likely to become the next President of Nigeria. For me, it's Chris Okotie for 2007 elections.

Yes. It's true that the battle has finally ended. Yaradua of the People's Democratic Party has finally become the winner of the 2007 presidential elections. Although the elections were massively flawed and rigged based on popular opinion, he still appears as the popular choice. But the issue here is that even if the election was truly free and fair, Yaradua would have probably still won, but perhaps by a smaller margin. Th final question tribunals may be facing here might not necessarily be "Who rigged?" but rather "Who did not rig?"

I don't truly believe that there is any enmity between Obasanjo and Atiku. I think it's all an act, to generate public sympathy for Atiku and by means of this win the elections. I mean, think of it, Obasanjo knows that many Nigerians are unhappy with his policies since he became president, and so in order to win over this majority of Nigerians back over, he needed someone who is an enemy or at least can act as one in order to regain the confidence of Nigerians by means of this so called villain. What i'm saying is that all these news or beef is just an act. I think the president knows that many nigerians want him, his policies and his supporters out of office as soon as possible by 2007 and for him to annoint Atiku ordinarily will be met by stiff opposition, and hence he decided to do this annointing extraordinarily by means of this class act or would i say aso act.
So i don't trust that there is actually any enmity between these two persons.

From the look of things, from all the public sympathy generated towards Atiku Abubakar by the Federal government by their constant persecution and from the character i see in him, i think, come rain come shine, Atiku will defnitely become nigeria's next president. Based on honesty, integrity or otherwise, he may be found wanting, but presidents are not made of saints but of the power of people. He's got what it takes to be president, even though i don't trust him.

As fate would have it, it appears Yar'Adua has finally clicked the PDP's presidential ticket in a bid to become the next President of Nigeria. I think he'll go ahead to win. If another party wins this ticket, then that party must be really strong.

He's got it, all it takes to become Nigeria' next president. The look, the maturity, the manifesto, his perfomance,.. all these sums up to my statement that Odili deserves to be there at least for the sustenance of our democracy. Most of the other candidates have enemies and past evil deeds that can not move us forward, but Odili can move us forward.

Have you forgotten about Chris Okotie. To me, he's the most honest presidential candidate that we have now in Nigeria

Who's Chris Okotie? What can he do for Nigeria? We are talking about hands that have been tested and trusted and not Bible carrying politicians. God for all of us. I vote for Atiku all the way.
