Most of you who are familiar with the term '419' need no explanation that this relates to a section of Nigerian Law that discourages advance fee fraud which is becoming more and more common by the day in the country. Majority of high school leavers, while awaiting their admision into higher institutions and due to the harsh economy and corrupt leaders, engage in these fraudulent activities and cybercafes, sending thousands of emails to email addresses across the world, inducing and decieving people (Mostly Americans) of their money in return for a deal/favour which they do not fulfil after collecting an advance fee. This is what Nigerians generally refer to as 419 and the victim is referred to as the "MUGU" when he falls for the trick.
I'd like us to be more concerned about how to stop this evil and restore the dignity and name of our country by posting what we know about them, experiences and even letters you may have recieved in your email box.
Actually i'd like to put the blame of all theses emails to the hands of cybercafe operators and ISPs in Nigeria.

419 is not the primary problem. The main problem EFCC should be facing is public service corruption

Nigerian laws encourage 419 as it does not make strong punishments for those convicted of the case

Only a thief can catch a thief. Only youths know what their mates are doing on the cybercafes. It will be good for efcc to employe these young graduates and then they'll be able to fight this crime more effectively
