For over a week now, the Guardian newspapers with their head office at the Rutam house has been completely paralyzed at this time of the year as her employees have gone on an indefnite strike over their salaries. It appears they are demanding a 50% salary increase as against the 20% being offered to them by the Management. I can;t believe this could be happening.

Oh, no wonder i've not been seeing their papers at the vendor's stand for sometime now. They better get their acts together before they loose more than they would have if they actually paid those employees the 50% asked for.

Their website was not updated for a period of time, but i checked today and i saw it seemed to have been updated and with a statement from the Management saying;
"The Management of Guardian Newspapers Limited wishes to inform members of the public that our newspapers have been off the streets and online, following an industrial action called by our workers.

It's disgraceful. They should look for a way to solve this and not allow goodwill to be rubbished

i can't believe this is happening to the Guardian. Of all the Newspaper companies in Naija, the Guardian should have been last to witness a domestic strike like this over salaries!
