I like making plantain chips and keeping them for a long time. How do I make them last longer without getting soft or bad?

If you fried them well, they should last long enough. Did you use a deep fryer machine? I think they will last longer if they are dryer i.e. no moisture left within them

Just get a dehydrator and dry them up/ The dryer they are, the more crispy they will be and the longer they last. Soft or moist plantain chips don't last long and can become a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also first cut the plantains and dry them in the sun before frying. They should then be packaged in an air tight package or container to help give them as longer lasting shelf life.

The key is to allow them dry for longer before packaging them. From my experience, you have to first fry them and then leave them on a drying rack for a while till they lose all their water content and afterwards packaging them. The drier they are, the longer they will last.

Well, many people I know that do plantain chips dont use dehydrator or dry them in the sun. They just fry them and pack them like that. I guess that's why it does not have a long shelf life. I would like to go into this business and make them really dry and hence longer shelf life but I want to know if there is any natural way I can do that without having to use any electronics like a dehydrator
