I recently learnt that Nigerians can now shop on Amazon but I want to know how my goods are going to be delivered to me in Nigeria. I tried ordering for some goods but was told that the items cannot be shipped to my location. How do other people do it?

Can a Nigerian resident really shop on Amazon? I don't think that is possible for now. Just try patronizing local sites like Konga and Jumia first.

Amazon only delivers books and DVDs to Nigeria. Most other things like laptops and phones are delivered within the US only. You need to have a friend or partner in the US that can receive the goods for you. Yes, they will accept your Visa or Mastercard but they won't ship to Nigeria. Same goes for other US websites like eBay, Apple, Walmart or JCpenny.

Amazon will only deliver your goods to a US address but you can always get your item finally shipped to your Nigerian address if you just set up a US mail forwarding service. Checkout www.usaddress4nigeria.com for details.
