- Have you always wanted to make money online in Nigeria?
- Do you make only a little amount of money online?
- If you are making money online, how much is it?
- Is it a satisfying sum?
- Are you making up to $300 - $1000 online monthly even if you are living in Nigeria?
- Do you already have a good job and you are making more than N300,000 monthly but still want to divest your income to online business?
- Do you want to start making money online in Nigeria as a student, job seeker or just for fun?
You might have already known that there are many ways to make money from the internet but it can all be summarized into the basic things:
To make money online, you need
- To have a product
- To have a selling platform
- To deliver to clients
You need to have a product that you can sell on an online platform and deliver it to clients after receiving payment.
So before you start cracking yourself about how to make money online, you need to first of all answer these three questions:
- What do you have to offer? (Product)
- How do you get paid for it?
- How do you deliver it to your client or customer after payment?
The Product: What to sell
What kind of products can I provide, you may ask.
One product I will advise you to sell online is an ebook.
Ebooks are one of the most primary means through which smart web site owners are making a lot of money online from.
Forget about Google adsense - they will only pay you pennies, forget about Clickbank - You may lose your earnings, Forget about Google Adwords to Affiliate account - It will drain your pocket, Forget about Amazon - You will grow old before making a living from it.
Selling ebooks online is the "in" thing right now and a lot of seasoned web site owners are focusing their attention. The thing about books is that it stands the test of time. If you've not written a book in your life, you need to start today and write at least a 30 page ebook which you can still publish offline as real book if you want to.
Books can last forever. Affiliate sales can drop or drain you. Google cash may enslave you but when you start selling our very own ebooks, then you've really started.
Ebooks are virtual books you can make in a pdf or word format that contains information on a particular or series of topics which are mostly of interest to internet users.
Ebooks are books which can be read on a computer and not a real book and can be sold at a cheap price say N500 - N1000.
How do you make profit from it then. Well the thing is that you are able to keep selling and selling it as long as people want it from you. With the internet in Nigeria, you may be able to sell your ebook to as many as 10,000. Just imagine selling an ebook at N500 to 10,000 people. That will give you a cool N5,000,000. Now you see what I am talking about. You may write an ebook about a topic and you may be the first to launch it in the market and you will be able to reach the north and south easily.
After writing your ebook with Microsoft word, you can then convert it to a pdf format with Acrobat Reader.
Tip: Hot selling ebooks are the ones based on "how to do stuff" topics.
How do you receive payments online
Now that you've created maybe a 30 - 40 page quality ebook for your prospective online customers in Nigeria, the next reasonable thing to do is to know how to get paid for it.
Due to the non-availability of paypal as well as relative newness of the internet to Nigeria, you can get people to pay you by your savings bank account. Try to use an account you have online access to or one that alerts you with details of payment and who paid into your account.
You may also use an online payment service available for merchants like softpurse or VTN and automate delivery of ebook to clients after successful payment process.
Delivering to your customers
Now that the orders are in and customers have sent payment notification to you by email, now you have to deliver the goods to them. Since it may not be easy to automate delivery of your ebook to customers who have paid for them by bank deposit, the best way is to send it as an email attachment to their given email address on application.
You can use a yahoo or Gmail account to send email to the email account of the same person who sent you the payment notification and keep a copy of every email you sent to your customers for record purposes.
If you are selling to a global audience and you have an interesting ebook, you can equally sell it with paypal, alertpay or liberty reserve and automate payment success with a redirect page for automatic download. If you don't have a website where you can sell or allow people to download your ebook, you can still upload it to the websites of sites like e-junkie, payloadz or other ebook vending site as they will deliver it automatically to the person after online payment and take their commission.
This is very compressed, but if you really want to make money online in Nigeria,, this is a guide that can help you and your product may not be ebook. It can be something like cool drawings, pictures, or even website templates for those who may want to buy a fast track website for themselves.
