They go to church to thank God and afterwards go for feasts and celebrations. They visit families, friends and exchange gits. They also go out and have fun.

Nigerian Christians know that Christmas is a time to rejoice and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ many years ago. It does not imply that Jesus was born exactly on the 25th of December but it's just a day that the church chose to celebrate his birthday because it is an important day when God chose to bring his son into our world. Christians celebrate it in many ways by singing carols, having many church services, offering charity, feeding the hungry ll with the aim of showing how much God loves us. It's a day people can spend with their family at home feasting, going out to cinemas and shopping malls. They have parties and dance all with the aim of celebrating a happy day.
