If you have good writing skills, you can as well make money online in Nigeria writing for websites.
There are a lot of article submission websites available online that allows you to write, publish and make money with your work, even if you are living in Nigeria.
All you would need to do is sign up with them just like you would normally open a Yahoo mail account and then choose a monetization option available within your account. Monetization options that are usually available include PPC, Affiliate ads and referrals. Advertising networks like Adsense, Amazon, Chitika or even Adbrite can be used on those article websites.
Here are a couple of websites that allows you to make money if you publish with them - Hubpages.com, ehow.com, articlebase.com and others.
You can get paid in Nigeria by means of an international cheque which you can cash in a domicilliary bank account like that of Intercontinental or GTB's.
There are really a number of ways you can make money online but it involves following easy steps already available

some of the sites i subscribe to want to sell me something- they
advertise and give me

A site like Hubpages.com allows you to write articles and make money from Google adsense even if you don't have a website yet. It is an even cheaper way of making money from adsense in the short term. By the time you get more income, you can also setup a site for yourself and make more money from it. Hubpages allows you to write and publish your articles. If your writings bring in more traffic, it will also be bring in more money.
