I see that there a lot of people doing web hosting in Nigeria but Is it really profitable online business? I tried going with hostgator once and got a reseller deal for $25/month =N3750/month.

If you were to collect N500/month for each client and had 100 packages at 500MB each, it would give you N500*12*100 packages =N600,000 which is greater than the N3750*12 = N45,000 you will be spending per year. However getting up to 100 clients may be impossible in the first year unless you maybe do some serious marketing, online and offline. On the average, You may be able to get only 5 - 10 clients in a year which would be still N1250 greater than the N3750 you would be spending assuming you made N5000 each from ten clients. So on the whole, I think it is profitable
