There are many telecommunications company now in Nigeria also offering internet access as a value added service. There is starcomms, multilinks, reltel, glo and now zain. Mtn has been known for long to offer internet service to subscribers using its gprs technology, but recently they have introduced 3g which is a faster broadband service for accessing the world wide web. MTN Offers internet servicenot only through its gprs which is both for prepaid and post paid customers but also 3g broadband internet service for subscribers who have 3g or hspda phones. For those who do not have these kind of smart phones, they could buy the mtn fastlink data card which is for use with a sim card with 3g capability like mtn's.
The mtn fastlink data card costs about N25000 in Nigeria but it is not compulsory that you buy it before you subscribe and you don't need to visit any mtn customer service center to subscribe, all you need are;\
- A 3g or hspda device
- An mtn sim card
- Credit on your phone.

The cost for browsing on the mtn network ranges from N500 per day to about N10,000 per month and the maximum download quota for the monthly is 3gb after which you would eb charged on about N15 per kb of data downloaded. To subscribe one needs to send a particular text to 131. Go to mtnonline.com for further details.

Well you should get to any MTN office closese to you and ask for the fastlink card. It costs N8500 now
