I just found out how to do this without having to install any other software on my laptop. It is now easy to download movies from youtube easily if you are using Google Chrome, all you need to do is to paste the code on the address bar whilewatching the video from youtube or even if you are on the watch page, you don't need to be watching the video. Just paste the following code on your address bar:

javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + swfArgs['video_id'] + "&l=" + swfArgs['l'] + "&sk=" + swfArgs['sk'] + '&fmt_map' + swfArgs['fmt_map'] + '&t=' + swfArgs['t'];

Then you will be prompted to save it. You will need to save it with a unique file name and with the extension .flv or .mp4 for it to be saved in that format. If the above code doesn't work, use the code below;

javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + swfArgs['video_id'] + "&l=" + swfArgs['l'] + "&sk=" + swfArgs['sk'] + '&t=' + swfArgs['t'];
