Google, the big search engine and MTN, the best network in Nigeria are working together to provide sms based searches for subscribers. With this service, one can search Google without having to visit the internet. It is mroe economical, fast driven and direct. It seems to give the first result on search pages. Actually i think Google is offering this service for free but MTN is charging N10 per sms for the service. One needs to type in the keyword or word that you want to search for and send it to 4664 which is the number mtn has dedicated to Goog. You can save the number as Google in your phone for easy access.
To go about this service, you can read this information i got from mtnonline.com;"How do I use Google sms?
All you need to do is send your keyword and topic e.g "News Obama" to 4664 and you will receive the latest news on Obama.
To define a word, send the keyword and the word you want to define e.g "Define Innovation" to 4664. You will receive the definition of the word.
Each entry should be preceded by the keyword "define" or "News" or "translate" etc, depending on the category of the search. Each sms costs N10."

It is working. I have tried it and it is much cheaper when you are doing research to use it in making references and queries rather than just browsing the internet in a cybercafe aimlessly. It is very helpful for students

A good innovation from mtn. It costs just N10 to make queries to Google when you ware looking for defnitions. It is like having a dictionary on your phone, but it is just more. You can even check weather forecasts or breaking news about a location or person(i.e.noun). Google has remebered Nigeria.
