This will work for any phone but I'm demonstrating from a Nokia phone -
To get multimedia settings configured for your mobile phone on Safaricom network, use the following information;

Menu > Settings > Configuration Settings > Personal Configuration Settings > Options > Add New >

Multimedia Messages

Account Name Safaricom MMS
Server Address mms.gprs.safaricom.com
Access Point Settings Select it
Proxy Enable
Proxy Address 172.022.002.038
Proxy Port 8080
Bearer Settings Select it
GPRS Access Point mms.safaricom.com
Authentication Normal
Username Leave it Blank
Password Leave it Blank

That's about it!

Not all phones have mms capability. If your phone has Multimedia message option in the message section, then it is capable. If it does, then you will need to set up the mms configuration on your phone for safaricom befoe it starts working

I think you have not set up mms correctly on your phone. Why don't you call customer service and ask them to send the mms setting to your phone. You can also do it manually if you know how to. If your mms is set up correctly, you will be able to view the messages
