I'm guessing you are talking about the modem only without the phone. Well, what you need is to connect it with a desktop phone and load credit on it after buying a recharge card. A second way to load credit on your line is by using ATM. What you will need is your Multilinks phone number and just load it from the ATM machine. A third way would be to go to any Multilinks customer office and pay them to automatically load it for you. You will also need to tell them your phone number too.
However doing it at home is best. Just buy credit and load.
The format for loading is on the Multilinks card

Tell the people you purchased it from to load it for you or connect it to any compatible CDMA phone and load it from there.

dial 179 on any multilinks phone and follow the instruction. i think the default plan is 50hrs, so just load about 3400naira, and u will get a message that tells you your credit balance is zero naira, it means your payment has been received and u can start browsing instantly. Ensure you know your card number, it's essential. if u need further assistance call evdo enquiries 017730004

I loaded directly from my modem without a fone or d use of ATM. All u need do is change ur settings from EV-DO to 1X and then go to voice call and load like u will load a phone interactively.

Unlike other telcom modems, i don't know why multilinks modems are difficult to automatically connect to the internet, recharging and checkin of balance. I've got a new modem but haven't been able to use it since then. Really disappointed wit dis network o!
